Medium 30 ply raw wick (non-waxed) – 100 Yard Spool.

Candle makers rely on a wax coated wick to quickly thread and secure to a candle mold. It lights quickly and burns efficiently. This cotton core wick can be used for pillar candles. It is compatible with 140 Pillar Wax, 140 Regular Wax, and 160 Hurricane Wax. This waxed wick can be with dark/light colors, heavy/light fragrance, high/low additives, or with no candle additive, candle dye and candle fragrance.

Medium 30 ply raw wick is recommended for use in 2.5″ to 3.5″ diameter molded paraffin candles.

This 10 yd. pack provides enough wick to make approximately 30 to 35 – 3″ x 6″ candles.

Medium 30 PLY waxed wick is recommended for use in 2.5″ to 3.5″ diameter molded paraffin candles and dipped tapers.

This 100 yd. spool provides enough wick to make approximately 300 to 350 – 3″ x 6″ candles.

Cut prep time in half with our PRE-TABBED tealight wicks. They’re ideal for use with plastic or aluminum tea light cups. A wax coated wick makes candle lighting simple.

Each pack contains 50 cotton core waxed tea light wicks cut in 1″ lengths.

Recommended for use in tealight candle formulas using paraffin wax containing no wax additives, dye or fragrance.

1/0 square waxed wicks are recommended for use in beeswax, vegetable wax and rolled beeswax candles.

Square waxed wicks were originally designed for beeswax candles, vegetable wax and rolled beeswax candles, however, they can still be used for soy and paraffin creations as well. Candle making is more art than science. Test burning candles using various wick sizes is recommended to determine the right size wick for your particular application.

The first burn of a candle is important in setting the pace for how the candle will burn every other time that it’s lit. When you light your candle for the very first time, make sure that it burns long enough to melt the wax all the way to the outer edge. This may take several hours. The general rule of thumb is to let the candle burn for approximately an hour per inch of diameter. It’s also important to not overtrim the wick length every time the candle is lit. A wick that’s trimmed too short will not allow the candle to burn hot enough and may cause tunneling. A wick that is not trimmed far enough could cause the candle to burn too hot and may cause smoking.
